Recertification/Training/Education in Edmonton

The Support Our Troops Fund receives proceeds from the sale of Support Our Troops license plates in Alberta. This funding will support the following:

Are you a military spouse/partner who requires recertification/training/education?

In order to increase the success of finding employment up to $3,500 may be available to spouses/significant others to support recertification/training/education. 

• Spouse/significant other must be reflected on a member’s MPRR.
• Courses must be at a recognized post-secondary institution or adult retraining centre. ** not intended for the purpose of clinics, workshops, professional development training, presentations.
• Courses can be through distance learning.
• It is expected that courses will be short in duration, a few weeks or months. **EXCEPTIONS will be on a case by case basis
• Courses must be related to potential employment.
• For recertification, proof from the applicable professional association is required.
