Volunteering

By being a volunteer, you will contribute to the well-being of the community and get an enriching experience out of it as well!

Volunteer with our BFRC team

Volunteer Services offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities designed to integrate the community into the BFRC’s programs, services and activities to stimulate sharing, caring and ownership.  Volunteer Services is designed to enhance and compliment the array of skills, expertise and talents resulting in community responsive programming.

The BFRC has adopted the Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement guidelines and standards within the Volunteer Services.  The Code clearly states the important values and benefits received from volunteer involvement, while offering a framework for organizations working with volunteers by providing the values, guiding principles and organizational standards for volunteer involvement. Volunteers actively engaged in supporting Centre Programs and activities may be entitled to receive partial reimbursement for child care costs incurred while volunteering!  This funding is available to Registered BFRC Volunteers who give of their time, energy and talents.
