The Mindful Eating Course is an educational briefing designed to help participants explore their relationship with food and develop healthier, more intentional eating habits. Through guided activities and discussion, participants will learn to recognize and understand the different types of hunger, including physical, emotional, and environmental hunger. They will also learn skills to practice being present during meals to enhance awareness and enjoyment. The briefing emphasizes self-reflection and skill-building, offering practical strategies to reduce stress around eating, improve emotional regulation, and foster a more balanced approach to nourishment. By cultivating mindfulness in daily eating practices, participants may begin to heal their relationship with food and strengthen overall well-being.
Mindful Eating is just one of 5 modules in the Essential Nutrition program. Other modules include Nutrition Fundamentals, Understanding Food Labels, Meal Planning, and Stretch Your Food Dollar.
