    Definitely! HERCS was created with aspiring entrepreneurs in mind—so even if you’re just at the idea stage, you’re in the right place. You don’t need a business plan or a company name—just your passion and curiosity.

  • Will I get one-on-one support or mentorship?
    While the HERCS program is delivered in a group setting, there’s plenty of room for individualized support. You’re encouraged to ask specific questions throughout the sessions, and our instructor is happy to provide tailored responses to help address your unique goals. We’re also committed to connecting you with additional resources and supports when needed—so even in a group, you won’t feel lost in the crowd.
  • Do I need to have a business plan before attending?
    Not at all! You don’t need a business plan to get started with HERCS. The program focuses on developing a Business Model Canvas, which is a great way to map out and explore your business ideas. Along the way, you'll also get access to helpful resources and guidance to support you in building a full business plan—whenever you're ready. We meet you where you are, whether that’s just an idea or something already in motion.
  • Can I network with other entrepreneurs through HERCS?
    Absolutely! HERCS is all about building connections. During our live interactive sessions, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to engage with fellow entrepreneurs through the chat, group discussions, and breakout rooms. Whether you’re eager to collaborate, swap ideas, or simply hear others’ experiences, you’ll be at the heart of a supportive, like-minded community. And the best part? You can engage at your own pace—whether that means jumping right in or easing into conversations as you feel comfortable.
  • What if I can’t attend the full session?
    Life happens—we get it. If you’re unable to attend a full session, we encourage you to reach out directly to the HERCS instructor. Every participant receives a detailed HERCS manual covering much of the course content, and the instructor is happy to offer extra guidance and support to help you stay on track. We’re here to make sure you get the most out of the experience, even if you miss a bit along the way.
  • Can I attend more than once?
    Yes! HERCS is packed with valuable resources, fresh insights, and up-to-date strategies—so returning participants are always welcome. Whether you want a refresher, new perspectives, or to build on your progress from a past session, there’s always something to gain. Each round brings updated content, renewed energy, and a community ready to support your next steps.
  • How often is the program offered?
    HERCS is offered twice a year in English and once a year in French.
  • What are the sessions like?
    Sessions are live, interactive, and designed to spark conversation and connection. Held on a virtual platform, they bring people together from all over to share experiences and learn from each other. 
  • Are sessions recorded?
    No, sessions are not recorded. We’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable sharing openly and honestly. Each session is designed to be a live experience, with features like breakout rooms, open discussions, and tailored resource packages—so you can fully engage in the moment without worrying about being on camera later.
  • What platform are the sessions hosted on?
    We currently use Zoom to host our live, interactive group sessions—it’s a great space for real-time conversation, breakout rooms, and engaging activities.
  • Do I have to be local to Trenton to participate in the program?
    Nope! The program is offered virtually, so whether you're stationed in Goose Bay, Comox, or halfway across the globe, you're welcome to join. No need to be local—just bring your curiosity and a good internet connection!
