Veteran Family Program

Support for medically released Veterans and their families

The Veteran Family Program (VFP) supports medically released Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Veterans and their families as they adjust to life after military service. Through local Military Family Resource Centres (MFRCs), eligible families can continue to access military family services and specialized transition support.

The program recognizes that medical release affects the entire family. Through a family-first approach, families have access to information, referrals, community connections, transition resources, and personalized navigation support to help them adapt to post-service life.

Connect with a Veteran Family Program Coordinator

Your Veteran Family Program Coordinator (VFPC) is your main point of contact for the Veteran Family Program.

Every family's transition journey is different. Your VFPC provides information, guidance, referrals, and connections to services and resources that can help your family navigate life after military service.

How the Veteran Family Program supports families

Continued access to military family services

Life after military service can bring new opportunities, challenges, and changes for families.

Through the Veteran Family Program, eligible Veterans and their families can continue accessing military family services through their local Military Family Resource Centre, helping them stay connected to services and support throughout their transition journey.
