Growing & Glowing Programs (Child and Youth)
Internal strength and adaptability can help young people blossom through uncertainties associated with the military lifestyle. Skills and strategies such as social emotional learning, healthy self-esteem and a growth mindset can help set the foundation of resiliency for everyday life. Through fun-filled, interactive activities, children and youth of military families can learn essential skills to go beyond surviving into thriving through any challenge they may encounter.
The Growing and Glowing Programs are educational, skill-based programs for children and youth of military and veteran families in the NCR. These groups provide a safe and supportive environment to learn and explore age-specific topics related to positive mental health, well-being, and overall empowerment.

Glowing Up (Ages 5-7)

Grow and Glow (Ages 8-10)
Session Information
Ages: 8-10
Topics: Growth vs Fixed Mindset, Self-Esteem/Self-Worth, and Boundaries and Confidence
Location: Uplands Military Community Centre
Dates: September 10th to September 24th, 2026. Grow and Glow is run using a closed group format. This means that the same participants attend each week for three weeks
Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
