Improving Lives Architect
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma AND some years experience in a related field
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered
AND- Current CPR and Basic First Aid Qualifications
- HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport
- HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children
- In working with children and youth
- In programming activities for children and youth
- In leading children and youth in activities
- In ensuring safety protocols and procedures

Chief Memory-Maker
Education and Certifications:
College diploma or certificate in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or Community Development or a related field, AND some years of experience in recreation administration, or a related field
OR
High school Diploma and several years of experience in a related field
AND- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
- Certification in one recreation program area
- HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport
- HIGH FIVE QUEST 2
- HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children
- In planning, organizing and evaluating the operations and delivery of recreation facilities, programs, services, and events.
- In program development and instruction
- In supervising personnel and the work of volunteers
- In budget administration

Belonging Builder
Education and Certifications:
College diploma or certificate in Child Development, Physical Education, Recreation or a related discipline AND some years of experience in a related field
OR
High school diploma AND/OR several years of experience in a related field
AND- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
- Current High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) Certification
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, an asset
- In planning and organizing recreational and sports activities/programs for children and youth
- In working with children and youth
- In leading, supporting and delivering activities for children with inclusion needs
- In alternate communication methods
- In applying safety protocols and procedures
- In working with children with behavioural disorders
- In applying policies, procedures, regulations and applicable legislation

The selection process

The selection process consists of:- A review of qualifications (you may be asked to provide a copy of your certifications before the interview or the day of the interview)
- A skills assessment (may be required)
- An interview (you will be asked to explain your background, answer behavioral based questions based on our Shared Competencies and answer scenario questions that you may encounter)
- Reference check (an external candidate will be asked to provide the contact information for professional references)
- Security screening process (if selected for a position at CFMWS, you will be required to complete a Reliability Security Screening and a Vulnerable Sector Check).
