The Caregiver Resiliency Series

Are you a caregiver looking for helpful strategies to manage stress and support your own well-being? 

Presented by the YMCA of Northern Alberta


Join us for the three-part Caregiver Resiliency Series, where participants will gain tools to build resilience, enhance self-awareness, and develop sustainable caregiving practices. The sessions will focus on the following topics:

  • Session 1: Angry Moments, Isolation & Loneliness
  • Session 2: Anxiety & Authentic Living 
  • Session 3: Building Better Boundaries & Resilience 

Caregivers can sign up for all three sessions or just one. Dinner and refreshments will be provided during each session. 

 

Angry Moments, Isolation & Loneliness

Participants will learn ways to manage angry moments and explore how isolation and loneliness can affect physical wellness, along with strategies to help them feel more connected.

Anxiety & Authentic Living

In this session, participants will gain a better understanding of anxiety, learn tools to help cope as a caregiver, and explore self-worth and how to live according to their own personal values.

Building Better Boundaries & Resilience

This session explores how to set healthy boundaries and gain strategies to care for oneself while building resilience and bouncing back from setbacks.

Open to: Adults 18+ of current serving CAF families and Veteran Families, and Families of the Fallen

 

Child care will be available for program participants with children. Registration is required, and space is limited. Participants must indicate their need for child programming upon registering for the program. Please note, registration for child programming is not confirmed until you have received official confirmation from an MFRC staff member. The MFRC will confirm your child(ren)’s spot based on availability.
