Deployment brings a unique set of challenges for military families — but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Whether you’re preparing for your first deployment or seeking fresh strategies to strengthen your family’s readiness, the Deployment Ready, Family Steady Forum offers an engaging and supportive evening designed just for you.

Join us for valuable insights from keynote speaker Adrienne Carfagnini, MSW, RSW, and connect with local community resources dedicated to helping families thrive through every stage of the deployment cycle.

Event Timeline:

 6-7 PM : Presentation from Adrienne Carfagnini, MSW, RSW :

In this presentation geared towards couples, relationships and parents, participants will learn how to prepare and manage through the various stages of deployment: Preparation/ Anticipation, Deployment, and Reunion/ Reintegration. The challenges of each stage will be explored, and recommendations will be provided on how to manage or even thrive during these sometimes painful absences. 

7-8 PM: Information Fair – Explore What Matters Most to You

Following the presentation, guests are invited to return to the South Side Community Centre Gymnasium to connect directly with the programs and services most relevant to their family’s needs. Move at your own pace, visit the tables that interest you, and collect tangible take-home resources designed to support you through all stages of deployment.
