Military Spousal Employment Network (MSEN)
The Military Spouse Employment Network connects military spouses with a wide range of employers, including private sector companies as well as federal, provincial, and municipal public service organizations. Through the MSEN, spouses can upload their resume to increase visibility with hiring managers, access job postings from across Canada, and participate in virtual career fairs. MSEN also provides resources to help overcome the unique employment challenges of military life, ensuring continuity and flexibility for families. Employers in the network actively share opportunities and best practices to create inclusive workplaces that support military families.

Military Spouse Employment Initiative (MSEI)
The Department of National Defence (DND)’s military spouse employment initiative aims to provide military spouses and common-law partners employment opportunities within the federal public service. The inventory includes a broad range of work streams across Canada and is accessible to hiring managers from all federal government departments and agencies.
Note: DND has established a pre-approved exception to Common hybrid work model policy for military spouses to support work continuity and CAF retention during deployments, where operationally feasible.

Priority Hiring for Relocating Military Spouses
Spouses and common-law partners of Canadian Armed Forces members may be eligible for priority consideration in federal hiring when their employment is disrupted due to a military relocation.
