Polar Medallion
The Polar Medallion is presented as a symbol of appreciation, gratitude, and respect for the ongoing support serving and veteran military members receive from their loved ones.
It acknowledges them as they embody the values of Honour, Love and Respect. It also recognizes the sacrifices made to support the member during their unique Northern posting.
Nominations will be accepted by serving members and veterans for spouses, dependants, next-of-kin, veterans, and immediate family members within Yellowknife, Iqaluit and Whitehorse.
Polar Medallions will be presented in a way that is meaningful to the receiving person. You may choose to present the Polar Medallion personally in a setting of your choosing or have it presented in a ceremony where military dependants will be recognized. The Polar Medallion is available in French or English.
