Internal strength and adaptability can help young people blossom through uncertainties associated with the military lifestyle. Skills and strategies such as social emotional learning, healthy self-esteem and a growth mindset can help set the foundation of resiliency for everyday life. Through fun-filled, interactive activities, children and youth of military families can learn essential skills to go beyond surviving into thriving through any challenge they may encounter.
Glowing Up is an educational, skill-based program for children of military and veteran families in the NCR. These groups provide a safe and supportive environment to learn and explore age-specific topics related to positive mental health, well-being, and overall empowerment.
