Uplands Military Community Centre
Join PSP Health Promotion, Recreation, Military Family Services and other local partners for a 2-hour skill building workshop on learning to recognize harmful or concerning behaviours and respond in ways that support safety, dignity, and community well‑being. This session explores why people intervene (or don’t), how power and context shape bystander choices, and practical ways to safely step in.
What we’ll cover:

The 5 Ds of bystander intervention

Real‑life scenarios with discussion and resources
You don’t have to be perfect to make a difference—every action that interrupts harm or supports someone matters.
*Before registering, please keep in mind that the material presented will include examples and themes related to family violence and racism that may be sensitive or emotionally activating.
PSP Recreation Childcare:
PSP Recreation will keep your little ones entertained while you learn. Specific activity to be determined.
