About the session - Vision Boards: Creating a Pathway to Wellness
Vision boards are more than a collection of goals or aspirations; they tell a visual story about what matters most in our lives. This workshop focuses on the power of intention rather than rigid outcomes, encouraging participants to reflect on how they want to feel, live, and connect with themselves and others. Intentions emphasize alignment with personal values such as creativity, balance, connection, resilience, purpose, and vitality.

Through guided discussion and reflection, participants will explore how images, symbols, words, and meaningful objects can help bridge inner experiences with real-life actions. The process of creating the vision board is emphasized over the final product, supporting self-discovery, emotional regulation, motivation, and lasting psychological growth.

Participants will create a personalized Pathway to Wellness Vision Board using magazine images, ephemera, personal treasures, and a variety of supplied materials. They will have the opportunity to choose from one of three themes:

  • Emotion-Focused Board – Exploring emotions, emotional needs, strengths, and desired emotional experiences.
  • Recovery and Self-Care Board – Identifying practices, supports, and resources that promote healing, resilience, and well-being.
  • Life-Domain Board – Reflecting on important areas of life, such as relationships, personal growth, health, work, recreation, and community.

Each theme encourages participants to explore their values, recognize personal strengths, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Through the creative process, participants will build self-awareness, enhance self-confidence, and identify meaningful intentions that support their ongoing wellness journey.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their vision boards and reflections with the group, fostering connection, inspiration, and mutual support in a safe and encouraging environment
