Military Kids Connect

Military Kids Connect is a fun and inclusive program from children in JK to Grade 6 from military families attending local, schools in Petawawa, as well as the two French schools in Pembroke.

Military Kids Connect welcomes all military families, no matter where they are in the deployment cycle, and provides a positive space where children can connect, grow, and feel a sense of belonging.

The program runs through four sessions during the 2026/2027 school year, with each session focusing on one of the common challenges of military life - relocation, absences, and transitions. Through games, activities, group discussions, and creative learning opportunities, children are encourages to share experiences, build friendships, and develop skills to help them navigate the unique parts of military family life.

Each session is designed to help children feel supported, understood, and connected with others who share similar experiences, while also having fun in a welcoming and engaging environment.

*This program was formerly called Kids Deployment Support Group (KDSG). It is now open to all military children, and is focused on supporting children through deployment with new games, activities and group discussions.*

To register by September 30, 2026, please download the 3 PDF forms below and submit the completed forms to FamilyNavigator@PetawawaMFRC.com. If you wish to have a paper copy of the forms, reach out to us either by email or phone and we will bring them to your child(ren)'s school.
