Will we be hiring new staff members?

Will the new childcare centre be open to civilian families?
The new child care centre will be open to both Military and civilian families. The new openings will be filled with families currently on our waiting list.

Is there a separate waitlist for the new PMFRC building on the North Side of Garrison Petawawa?
No, there is one waitlist for all PMFRC Children’s Services Programs. Learn more about the Children's Service's Waitlist.

Will there be any new child care spots created?
Most of these spots will be filled by children who are already in our program, however the new facility will allow us to offer 51 new child care spots. Learn more about the Children's Service's Waitlist.

How many child care spots will be available in the new building?
The new building will offer child care in the PMFRC Early Learning Centre. Our license will be for 95 spots including: 80 full-time day care and 15 casual care spots.

Will there be a Morale Mail drop-off available in the building?
Yes. A designated area for Morale Mail drop-off will be available within the building

What is the address of the building?
The civic address is 41 Festubert Blvd.

Will there be parking?
Yes, there is a dedicated parking lot planned with approximately 120 spots, including an overflow parking lot behind the building.

Which organizations and services are in the building?
The building will be shared by the following services, including the PMFRC (and the PMFRC Early Learning Centre), PSP Headquarters, NPP Accounting, NPF Human Resources, and the Petawawa Post.

Will there be fitness facilities, a pool, a walking track, or a rock-climbing wall?
No, there are no fitness facilities in the building.

Will the South Side Community Centre remain open and continue offering its current range of services?
Yes. The South Side Community Centre will remain open, and services will continue to be offered at that location.

Will CAF members be able to complete Clear-In and DAG procedures at both the South Side Community Centre and the new Garrison Petawawa Morale and Welfare Family Centre?
Yes. Clear-In and DAG services will be available at both locations, providing convenient access for CAF members and their families on both North Side and South Side.
