The Community Freezer

Part 1: Stock the Freezer Event
Participants come together in a fun, hands-on group setting to prepare three nutritious and balanced freezer meals—one beef, one chicken, and one vegetarian option. This interactive event provides an opportunity to learn new meal-preparation skills, save time on future meal planning, and connect with other members of the military community in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Part 2: Community Freezer Program
While participants prepare meals for their own families, volunteers simultaneously prepare the same freezer meals for placement in our Community Freezer. Available to anyone who could use a helping hand, the Community Freezer offers free, ready-to-cook meals with no questions asked. Whether you're facing a challenging time, managing a busy schedule, or simply need a night off from cooking, the freezer is here for you.

The Community Freezer is located at MFS Greenwood in the Morfee Building 
(24 School Road, Greenwood NS  B0P 1N0). 
Individuals may stop by the front desk during regular hours 8-4pm or call ahead to arrange pickup.
