Deployment & Absence Childcare Vouchers are available to support families during a deployment or work-related absence. These vouchers are designed to help ease the challenges of solo parenting by giving you option of using them towards Occasional Childcare, Youth programs, or hiring a sitter at home and to take time for yourself.

What’s included?

Eligible families receive up to $50 per month (per family) in childcare vouchers for each month of the deployment or work-related absence.

How to access your vouchers:

Fill out a Family Information Form
Complete this form at the MFRC before or during the deployment/absence.

Request your vouchers

Send an email to our Deployment Coordinator at nicoletaborowski@shilomfrc.ca

Receive your monthly vouchers

Once approved, you'll receive an email with digital voucher links for each month of the absence.

Using your vouchers

Choose the childcare provider that works best for you and pre-pay for the service you’d like to use.
Submit Your Voucher for Reimbursement
Use the monthly digital voucher link provided to submit your receipt and request reimbursement (up to $50 per month).
Reimbursement will be issued by e-transfer using the email provided
